Charity Backpackers, guest house in Bodhgaya

The hostel accommodation:

Accommodation are for every taste and every budget. Rooms vary from a cheap dormitory to a comfortable double room with AC

The history of the guest house:

Charity Backpackers is a guest house located in the Tika Bigha village of Bodhgaya. It has been created by Murari Singh from India and Michael Saatkamp from Germany, who are both running the attached Bowl of Compassion-primary school.

In 2012 we had the idea to create a guesthouse next to our school where travellers from around the world can meet and hang out for a good cause. The income from the backpackers goes directly to the attached primary school, where almost 100 children receive education and a free warm meal every day.

Travellers that are interested in Volunteering can be hooked up with befriended Ngos in town.

Our place is a good stay for real longterm vagabonds that need a low budget accomodation, but also for the backpackers and flashpackers that might need a bit more comfort.

The guesthouse is running a small cafe as well where people can eat authentic indian cuisine.

Free Wifi, laundry service and cooking classes are offered as well.
